List of positions to be filled

Box Office Team

Our Box Office volunteers will provide top-notch customer service to all COLCOA French Film Festival attendees while performing ticket sales, handling will call, and answering customer questions. Box Office Volunteers will be trained on our ticketing system and will need to be able to use iPads to complete transactions.

For Opening Night on Monday, November 1st, guests are invite-only. Instead of having normal tickets, we will be checking-in our special guests upon entry to the DGA.

Merch - COLCOA Boutique

Our Merchandise Volunteers will be selling all things COLCOA at our very own Boutique inside the DGA Lobby next to the Box Office.  We need extremely upbeat, talkative, tech savvy people as our volunteers will need to chat with guests, answer questions, and make transactions on our iPad sales system.

Theatre Team

Theatre Ops Volunteers will greet guests, maintain line flow, and scan tickets for guest entry into film screenings. Some may also assist in blocking seats for sponsors and VIP guests prior to screenings, disbursing ballots, or help manage vote count.

The Lounge Attendant will check in guests for cocktail parties and specialty hosted events in the Lounge.

This position will be at the entrance of the VIP Lounge from the DGA Lobby. Only guests from the Red Carpet entrance will be able to enter the VIP cocktail event.

PR Team

Our PR Volunteers will assist our Publicity Manager in managing talent and coordinating with the Press for our Opening Night Red Carpet Event.

Our PR Volunteers will assist our Publicity Manager in managing talent and coordinating with the Press throughout the festival. We will reach out closer to the festival with exact times of the shifts.  For now, it is listed as Morning, Morning/Afternoon, Afternoon, Afternoon/Evening, and Evening to give you an idea of timing. Most shifts will be somewhere between 2pm-9pm.

This position will pair with PR/Publicity/Press on Opening Night.  Only guests who will be on the red carpet or who are invited to the exclusive VIP cocktail event in the Lounge will be allowed entry at this area.  This position will work mostly outside next to the red carpet.

Social Media

Our Social Media Volunteers will assist our Social Media Manger in photographing/recording Live Q&As, red carpets, and other events happening throughout the festival. Note that specific times will be given closer to festival date.  You will receive an email from Jennifer Schofield explaining more after you accept this shift.

Videography

We need Volunteers who are experienced Videographers to film during our Live Q&A's and other events to put on our YouTube Channel and various other Festival outlets. Please list experience in the profile section of the Volunteer form.

Covid Vaccine Check

Our Covid Vaccine Check Volunteers will be the first face our guests see upon entry to the festival.  We need warm, welcoming people to greet them.  This position will be placed right inside at the entrance to the DGA welcoming guests, checking their proof of vaccination, and matching the name to their photo ID.  Proof of Vaccination can be a physical Vaccine Card or an acceptable digital form.  Once vaccination status has been determined and temperature has been checked, the guest will receive a wristband good for re-entry for that day.

Pre-Festival Set Up and Post-Festival Tear Down

Volunteers to assist in the unloading and setting up at the DGA prior to the festival and tearing down post-festival.

We need some people to help with the setting up of the festival with our production Designer, Jessie, and to continue anything that didn't get finished on Saturday with Gift Bags.

This position is to assist in the unloading of wine deliveries at the DGA Theatre on Friday, October 29th. We need 2 strong individuals to help unload the vans.  The timing of this shift will be released closer to the date.

We need volunteers to help organize passes and lanyards for passholders and fill gift bags.  This will take place after the Orientation on Saturday, October 30th.

These Volunteers will assist in setting up for Opening Night throughout the day on Monday, November 1st.  This may include helping our production designer, filling gift bags, and other miscellaneous tasks.

Festival Floater

Floaters will be used wherever there is a need during that time.  This may be Theatre Ops, Box Office, PR, Merch, Social Media, or Lounge based on whatever you chose as your preferences.
